Associate veterinarian. Dr. Samir Graduated from VeterinaryCollege, Mansoura University, EGYPT. He earned his BVSc back in 2006. AfterAfter graduation, he worked in Equine medicine for 2 years before switching to smallanimal medicine which is his main passion. Dr. Samir moved to Los Angelesback in 2010 and passed all his state board exams before earning his DVM license.He worked at ACCESS emergency specialty hospital for 6 years alongsideemergency medicine specialists and board-certified surgeons before Joining ourfamily at Ace animal hospital in 2022. His main interest is emergency medicine and surgery. Dr. Samir enjoys trying new cuisines,attending concerts and movies, horseback riding, and nature. After work, he spends time with his pet and family.

ASHKAN FARAHANY
DVM
Dr. Ashkan Farahany is one of our associate veterinarians at Ace Animal Hospital. Dr. Farahany started his undergraduate studies in San Diego where he also competed in Southern California as a part of his college’s swim team. He then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to finish his bachelor of science degree and to spend more time with his family on the East Coast. Dr. Farahany has always had pets at home growing up such as hamsters, parrots, scrolls, cockatiel, rabbits, turtles, chicks, ducklings, his beloved and a long-lived Siberian Husky, and currently, he is a dad to two cats. Dr. Farahany went to Ross University for his doctorate degree and finished his studies at Michigan State University to become a veterinarian. Prior to Veterinary school, he becamea certified mammal animal trainer with a specific focus on dolphins and other marine mammals. He then moved to Los Angeles to practice. Dr. Farahany has been working in both general practice and emergency critical care fields with a vast experience in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. During his years of practice, he has been utilizing routine diagnostics such as blood tests and radiographs along with advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound, CT scan, endoscopy, and MRI. During his time off, he enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
